St. Mary’s Health Center – Solar Financial Analysis
Financial analysis reporting can be seen as an important preliminary stage in the design of a solar system. This project allowed SEED Inc. to explore the costs and paybacks involved in completing a multitude of large solar PV power plants. Initial costs and return on investment values were analyzed in regards to different solar design sizes. Third party financing to incorporate the newly revised federal tax credit and utility solar rebates were explored in order to prove solar as a viable investment. When considering all aspects and opportunities involved in a completed solar system including equipment, installation, engineering, O&M, solar power production savings, carbon footprint reduction, federal tax credit & local utility rebate a Simple Payback Period of under 20 years is presented. Reports like these allow clients to understand the benefits involved in a renewable energy plant, not only to them, but the environment and its occupants.
