Town of Truckee – Public Facility solar engineered system
A 15kW solar PV system is designed to help reduce the buildings monthly billing cost and to promote renewable energy generation among the Town of Truckee residential and commercial sector. In addition to the solar generation system, a display case is constructed to demonstrate the solar PV system design and related data as well as describe the solar rebate and energy conservation rebate programs provided by the local utility, the Truckee Donner Public Utility District. This display case will be located in the Town Hall Building lobby (pathway to the Truckee Building Department) so that it can be seen by home owners, developers, builders, contractors, engineers, etc. The importance of increasing community awareness of solar implementation & local conservation techniques and rebates, reduction of carbon footprint and utility costs was worth the added time put in by the SEED Inc. team
