LED Utility Project
SEED Inc. is currently working with Southern California Edison, one the largest Electric Utilities in the United States, to develop residential single-family kitchen lighting profiles for both overhead (recessed can) and undercabinet lighting. Information obtained during this evaluation will be combined with lab data to develop reportable energy savings figures that LED technology provides over typical incandescent and fluorescent lamps. Results from this study will be filed with the California Public Utilities Commission and provided to Southern California Edison account managers who will determine incentives for the technology.
